WHO AM I?

MY STORY

​

My name is Scott and I am the owner of Sustainable Life Habits (SLH). I have spent many years in different gyms, looking to put on muscle mass, which seemed to be an impossible task for me. I also suffered from debilitating chronic back pain ever since I was a kid and nothing seemed to resolve the issue, not even the Neurosurgeon I was referred to.

 

Through many trials and errors over the years with supplements, workout plans, diet plans and more, I started to realize that I was looking in all of the wrong areas for answers. Muscle mass is not grown by supplements, it is the result of eating properly portioned meals consistently. I started to realize that back pain was not just something we are born with, it’s a result of many different things such as underdeveloped core and posterior chain muscles, amongst many other things. All of the answers I was looking for showed up quickly when I started to look in the right places for them, but it all started with getting consistent in the gym. 

 

Today, I rarely notice any back pain whatsoever. Things like being consistent at the gym and eating healthy are not up for negotiation because I am fully aware of how crippling the other side can be. These daily duties that got me these results became habits and have formed the person I am today.

MY HEALTH & FITNESS BELIEFS

I believe that everybody has the right to live a fit and healthy life. Whether you're young or old, I believe that there is a proper way to include resistance training into your routine that will contribute to the overall quality of your life. In my experience, I found that health takes precedence over fitness and that when done properly, fitness will be the byproduct of living a healthy lifestyle.

 

Healthy habits, done in a sustainable manner will produce a lifetime full of results.

MY MISSION

My mission is to help people find the answers to their own personal health and fitness journeys in the proper places. Many times, much like I did, we gravitate towards the marketed answers such as supplements, cardio classes and influencer workouts, when the real answer is to get good at the fundamentals, such as basic resistance training and properly portioned meals. 

 

My goal is to simplify the process and show people just how easy and rewarding it can be to live a healthy lifestyle.
